3/5/12 LEESPORT --- More than 100 students and exhibitors filled the Berks County Ag Center last Friday, March 2nd, and learned about future careers in the agriculture and food industries. Some participated in an impromptu fundraising auction that netted several hundred dollars for scholarships and future Ag Career Fairs, reported Sheila Miller, Berks County's Agricultural Coordinator. Along with giving other participants a taste of what they are learning this year at RACC, these students will be auctioning items from other exhibitors to the crowd in order to raise money for student scholarships and future career fairs sponsored by the Berks Agricultural Resource Network, a non-profit organization.
